Vacation Day 2

Yeah, I really wasn't there this day either. We arrived at about 10:30p.m. to a practically comatose family. It was super fun listening to them tell me they were so tired from all the fun they had had without me and my family..... The kids of course had slept forever in the car, so they stayed up pretty late.

The drive down went way better than I had anticipated. Which basically means Addison didn't cry as much as I had expected. It was so nice driving down in a spacious vehicle with a built in dvd player.

I missed taking our time and stopping at fruit stands like we have done in the past, but this year I got to listen to my kids sing along with some of their favorite songs, and that always makes me smile. You know, except for when Colton is singing and Aubrey is squealing over and over "I want my song! I want my song!" The sound of her voice, well it is something everyone should experience at least once.....I used to think it was just her hair that was too big for her body....Yeah, no.

Has anyone ever discovered why blogger does this funk font thing? And what do I do? Do I re-post it? Does it eventually correct itself? Does it look like this to everyone else?

The C-A-A

Colton
*Has some new Optimus Prime Nikes. I hate them, he loves them. He likes to show me how fast he can run in them. He told me to count to three "really fast" so he could run to Kent. When I counted so fast he hadn't even moved, he requested that I count "just medium"

*When I am "rep remanding" him, he says "okay, okay, okay" over and over. Yeah, tryin' to nip that crap in the bud.

*When we are going to call someone, he likes to dial the number

*When I tell him to get dressed, he will pick out clothes and ask me if they match. When I tell him no, which is almost always, sometimes he picks something else, but most of the time he just tells me "Then I don't want to match"

Aubrey
*Every thing related to time is "Lom Ago" She is always telling me, "Mom, member, lom ago when...."

*She can spot a spider fifty billion feet away. Thank goodness Colton will kill the ones he can reach.

*She changes her clothes more times than I can count.

*When she dances, she tells me to "Watch my ballerina" Which inevitably leads to her "shaking my booty" Ballerinas everywhere would be proud

Addison
*She is smiling all the time!

*She gets so excited when Colton and Aubrey talk to her.

*I made her laugh the other day for the first time! I have a little video of it I need to post.

*Somebody somewhere loves me cause she is sleeping through the night!

My Graduate

I cannot believe Colton is done with preschool. I am totally freaking out. But, lets not make this post about me, even though I totally could.

I just want to say, I am so proud of him and how much he has grown in the last year. Socially he has come out of his shell quite a bit. Academically, he has far surpassed what I thought he would know. Thanks to an amazing preschool teacher, he is doing tremendously better than he would be if had stayed home with me! So Miss Molly, hats off to you. You are an amazing teacher, I wouldn't have been able to leave Colton anywhere else 2 years ago with out being medicated. I can't wait to volunteer in kindergarten class next, you know after I stop crying.

The Beginning of Summer....

She saw a bug. I totally understand where she is coming from. I feel the exact same way.

Playing ring around the rosey on a wet trampoline...

Aubrey would live on a swing if we let her. Whenever she is near one, all we hear is "Pursh me! Pursh me higher!" Thank goodness she has a dad, a brother, an Uncle Jason, and a cousin Graycie that will do it. It is so not my favorite thing to do.
