So I pretty much did nothing today.  I watched tv, and then more tv.  I didn't even shower until almost 6.  It was awesome.

Mallary and Katie came over and we walked for just over an hour.  I'm gonna be so lonely when I have to walk by myself again.  We also took our measurements.  It is amazing depressing, the difference between measuring my waist, and then measuring my stomach like an inch below that...it's like they aren't even in the same hemisphere...

Pictures...

the precarious places we seemed to find Addy in at the stores on vacation...

the surf shop under the clothes rack...

the shoe store, on the shelf....

in the ball bin at Fred Meyers...

At different surf shop than the one pictured above, we couldn't find her anywhere, and then my mom noticed her little feet poking out, she wedged herself between the massive rack of flip flops and some clothing...I lost 5 years off my life that time...

Wednesday #2

Due to the fact that it has been over a week since we were living out our 2nd Wednesday on vacation, the details might be a little bit sketchy....

Since everyone had so much fun in Pacific City, we decided to rent wet suits and go back.

But first we all headed to Depoe Bay....where we ate breakfast at Bonepile, and then wandered in and out of a few of the shops.  Steve and Lisa and me and Kent had Addy and our boys, and when we were over at the observatory thing I noticed an ambulance on the bridge right above us.  I don't know what happened, but there was some middle aged lady sitting there...and the first thing I thought wasn't 'I hope she is ok', it was more like 'oh my gosh, how embarrassing'...then I finally went and got the vanilla taffy I had been wanting all week...

We wrapped up in Depoe Bay, rented some wet suits, and headed to the beach...It was windy and the sun was nowhere to be seen, but the kids, dads, and Lisa were much warmer.  I cannot even express how cute all the kids looked in there suits.  Seriously to die for.  This time I put Addy to sleep and got to climb the sand dune.  I went by myself, which ended up working out great, because there were no witnesses to my heavy panting and stopping every 3 steps once I got closer to the top...in the end I was practically crawling up the hill because my calves were on fire.  But once I saw the view in both directions, it was so totally worth it.  It was amazing.  And walking back down the dune was super fun...We decided sand weiners were not to be eaten 2 days in  a row and opted to try out the local pizza place.  It was delish, the crust had actual minced garlic baked right on it...I want a piece right now just thinking about it.  By the time we finished eating we were pretty much all ready to head out...so we did...and then we stopped at the outlet mall...again...

The worst part of the last night is always the packing.  And packing.  And more packing.  Late that night I went down stairs and laid on Steve and Lisa's bed while they packed.  Before long we were all laying on it talking about funny stuff that had happened...we found this little white pill on their bed with an L on it...there was only one thing to do...make a joke about it being Liagra...

Pictures....

Depoe Bay...

this is the Bone Pile Man...

The ones of Colton not looking at the camera are the best ones I got of him...

the rest of them look like these...

Addy wouldn't really cooperate, she just wanted me to hold her...again..

Lisa really is beautiful on the inside and out...

Climbing the fence...on the edge of the cliff...so I did what any good mom would do, I snapped some pictures...she just wanted a better view after all...

even with this gorgeous view, it was the seagull that held her attention...

this was right after I got her down...again...

Steve man-handled his kids in almost every picture...this one wasn't so bad...

they were usually more like this...

So this was under the bridge, we could see this huge school of fish in the water.  I thought it was seaweedy stuff at first, but sure enough they started moving...and then if you'll notice the white-ish blob to the right, that was a seal/sea lion that came swimming up, and Lisa and Kent thought it was a giant fish...

Steve is holding the baggy that held the peanut butter sandwich we tried to throw at the 'giant fish', but a stupid seagull came and ate it...

I loved these shoes I got Addy so much, I went back and bought her the next size up...

Graycie looks so cutie in this picture...she's wearing her new sand dollar earings...I loved it when she would come show me the newest pair of earings she got...like at Claires when Lisa told her she thought the 4th of July ones she wanted might be too dangly, so she asked me and Amy, and we said they were fine, so she got to get them...I can't wait for more moments of all of us girls shopping together in the future...I can't wait for Aubs to be brave enough to pierce her ears..

Pacific City....

We were the first ones there...

they might just be related...

Aubrey couldn't wait to get out there, and then she wouldn't let Kent put her down...

no matter what, Addy always had her shoes on...

grandma bought everyone goggles...

seriously, I have a ton of pictures of her this day running around with perma-grin

yeah, not so sure she is lovin life in the  freezing cold water...
Hey look, there's Lisa...always ready for a picture...

this is where Addy spent most of her time...

wet suit-check, boogie board-check, killer goggles-check check

All of a sudden this group/herd/gaggle of seagulls came and just hovered over everyone...it was so weird...

did I mention we had our very own Charlie's Angel amongst us?

the ever loving goggles...they really make all the difference....

Every once in awhile she ventured out of the car...

to take care of some personal matters...

Always ready for a picture...notice the how the goggles double as ear bands...

Aunt Lisa took the kids on a few rides...and they of course had a blast...

Kent and Colt catchin' some waves together...

I was so much more comfortable when Colton played a little closer to shore...

As I was looking through all my pictures, I realized I had almost none of Trenton...and then I remembered,  peeling him out of his wet suit pretty early on, he was a little otter pop, stupid joke but whatevs, he was seriously turning colors, so he warmed up in the sequoia with Addy and even Colton for awhile...not so much time in the water...

the kids found these weird little white swimmy things, and they worked so hard trying to keep them wet in the ever absorbing sand...

Look at that, Soph is sad about something...weird...that almost never happens...except it totally does...I think she was mad because she wanted shorts on...

I have been trying to copy Lisa and take pictures from un-obvious angles...it's kinda fun

I like how way off to the left you can kinda see Jason all swallowed up in the wave...I hardly have any pictures of Easton either, because he was always way the crap out there with the big boys...

I went back through my pictures, and realized I did have one of Trenton in the water...with goggles...of course

and I felt kinda bad that the only picture I picked of Sophie was a pouty one, she wasn't always sad...

she is totally out of focus, but all the rest were of her backside...
And the award for the Most Die-Hard Boogie Boarder goes to....
I don't know if  he ever would have quit....

And the award for my favorite story of the trip...goes to....

the story was told to me by Steve, and it goes a little something like this....

So, after everyone was done playing in the ocean all the guys were in the bathroom changing out of their wet suits...Colton noticed Kent changing and said "whoa, that's a big one" then he looked around the room and said "there's a lot a big ones in here!"... then as him and Kent were leaving the bathroom he slapped Steve on the bare butt as he was walking by...I never get tired of hearing Steve tell that story..
